To get information on Nicki Minaj who is the feature of my main article, I researched her on websites such as: www.dailymail.co.uk, http://www.rwdmag.com/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicki_Minaj
I used wikipedia to find out general information about Nicki Minaj, such as her age and where she was born, the other to links I used by reading articles about the singer to get an idea of how to structure my article, as well as the language I may use. I also used quotes by the singer from researching different interviews with her.

Music Magazine Double Page Spread
This is the double page spread of my magazine. I done an article based on hip-hop singer/rapper Nicki Minaj. I created the page using Photoshop, doing each page separatly and then putting them both together using paint. I feel the layout of the article is one you may see in a regular music magazine, it has a piece of advertisement below the main article, which relates to Nicki Minaj herself.
The font used for the 'N' and 'M' in the main title: Nicki Minaj was taken from http://www.dafonts.com/, I edited the letters on paint, by cropping them and making them larger so they ended up being the right size for the page. The other font used on the pages is 'Times New Roman' a regular font found on Photoshop. Underneath the main title I used one of Minaj's quotes I found on http://www.dailymail.co.uk/ . Half of the main article text is on the first page and the rest on the other page, just above the advertisement of Mac lipstick, which is called 'Pink Friday' and part of Minaj's advertisment campaign. I chose the pink background as Minaj's album is called Pink Friday.
Music Magazine Contents Page
This is the contents page of my music magazine. It was created using Photoshop The heading, 'Inside this months' is from www.dafonts.com , I cropped the words separatly on paint so they were the right size I need, the other fonts used were taken from Photoshops fonts. I put a photo used from what is meant to be my main article in the top centre of the page so it is what catches the readers eye primarily. Around this photo are different quotes from artists featured in the magazine, I did this to help gage the readers interest, and give them a small insight of what will be in the magazine. I chose dark colours to give the magazine a bit more edge that would hopefully appeal to the urban audience it is targeted for. The photos used in the contents page were taken by me, from concerts I had seen, that link in with the genre of the magazine.
Music Magazine Front Cover
This is the front conver of my music magazine, Bass. It was created using Photoshop. The idea for the front cover changed during the creation of it. I changed the title of the magazine, and the colour of the cover various times until I was happy with the end product. The titles font was taken from www.dafont.com , and the other fonts were from Photoshop text. I place the title at the top in the centre of the cover as that is were the customers eye would go to first if they see the magazine stacked on selves, also the bright red of the background on the cover would help attract potential customers.

Music Magazine Progress
This is how my front cover started off. The final piece ended up having a solid background colour, opposed to the faded red. I inserted the image that I had cropped using Photoshop, but I didn't crop the background colour sufficiently, so it therefore had a white block around the photo. After realising this I used the lasso tool and cropped the rest of the background out, so the end product had no white around it.
